For nearly four decades, we have been dedicated to the Health and Wellness Industry in Australia as distributors, teachers, manufacturers, and retailers. Our passion for natural, organic, and whole foods has driven us to introduce and promote some of the most beneficial health products in the country.
Our journey began with the introduction of Swedish Bitters to Western Australia, in 1986, Queensland, and New South Wales in 1987. Two years later, in 1989, we brought Celtic Sea Salt to Australia, revolutionizing how people approached mineral-rich, unprocessed salt.
Since 1989, we have also revived the lost art of sourdough bread baking, teaching classes along the East Coast of Australia using the macrobiotic technique perfected by Dr. Jacques de Langre, the pioneer behind Celtic Sea Salt. This traditional bread-making method emphasizes simplicity, quality ingredients, and the natural fermentation process for better digestion and enhanced nutrition.
For 10 years, we operated The Celtic Organic Bakery alongside two organic health food stores on the Gold Coast. Our stores were unique because we focused on whole foods rather than supplements.
One of our core values was ensuring that our customers received the freshest organic produce possible. Our organic growers harvested produce on Thursday morning, we collected it that afternoon, and by Friday morning, it was on our shelves—ensuring peak freshness and nutritional content.
Celtic Organic Bakery was one of the few bakeries in Australia that sold truly fresh, unprocessed bread. Unlike conventional bread, where flour is often milled, stored, and loses its nutrients, we milled our own organic grains in-store and used the fresh flour immediately. Why does this matter?
Sadly, few bakeries in Australia today mill their own grain and create 100% whole grain, additive-free bread.
We were among the first commercial bakeries in Australia to introduce Spelt grain into bread. In addition, we experimented with and baked using:
Many of our customers had food intolerances, and we took great care to offer nourishing alternatives to suit their dietary needs.
Despite the many years that have passed, our mission remains the same—to provide people with the highest-quality, cutting-edge health products that are:
Some of the products we offer today are not available anywhere else in Australia, and in some cases, they are exclusive worldwide.
At Food 4 Families Project, we believe that everyone deserves access to natural, high-quality health products. That’s why we sell directly to consumers online and at weekend markets, eliminating the middleman and inflated costs set by big retailers and networking companies. Our goal is to make health affordable for all.
Food 4 Families Project was founded in 2010 as the non-profit arm of Gano Direct.Biz. Every purchase made through our website directly supports charitable projects, particularly in Cebu, Philippines.
Through our work, we provide essential aid to the less fortunate, including:
